Random Phoenix’s lack of a breakthrough hip-hop act is a hot-button issue in our city’s urban music scene. Random might be the next guy to get signed and take a shot at the big-time. He’s already scored a South By Southwest showcase – something that’s not easy for a rapper. Raheem Jarbo, a.k.a Random, a.k.a. Mega Ran is a middle-school English teacher by day which means he’s already done more good for the community than most rappers will ever imagine but the transplanted Philadelphian takes it to the next level by keeping his rhymes free of profanity. Sound soft? He’s not. Random brings it, as you’ll see for yourself.
