Es Oh El Musik is prepping the release of “Independent Hustlin” on March 30th from Latino lyrical MC and Arizona based artist, Mav. Balancing lyricism with the ability to make hit records, the project features production from 21 the Producer (Crooked I), Deztined (Knoc-turn’al, K. Young), RythmIQ (Twista, Royce Da 5’9, etc.), Aktion Beats, Diaz Millenia and more.
Representing Arizona to the bone, Mav hooks up with BWS/Hypocalypto artist Juice of Black Wall Street for the street single. “Til the Sunrise” is set to be an Arizona anthem with 21 the Producer (Crooked I “Mr. Pigface”) and represents the first installment of a planned six single releases.
In addition to Juice, the album features guest appearances from D-Rocc of the Ying Yang Twins, Lucky Luciano, Noah Jones (Hoopla/Universal), LMNO and more.
With “Independent Hustlin”, Mav is out to prove a point. Unlike most goals artists set for themselves, Mav is out to prove a point regarding his heritage. Dissatisfied with the fact that Latino MC’s don’t get enough credit, Mav and his Sol Camp movement is out to gain respect and be mentioned among the top lyrical rappers in hip hop. Regarding the topic, Mav is quoted as saying “I’m out to enlighten the people about the struggles Latinos face in Arizona.”
With three music videos on the way, “Independent Hustlin” is sure to collect lots of notoriety and build up anticipation leading to its March 30th release date.
