About a year ago was the last time Phoenixhiphop.net caught up with
Classic to showcase the mixtape Phoenix New Sun 4. If you have not
heard that you need to. This year he came harder then ever. Already
dropping a album titled “Damaged Goodz” which you can find on his
online store @ http://www.reverbnation.com/store/index/artist_778158
and soon to be on Itunes.
The Album is complete and after listening to the entire thing I was
hard pressed to find any song that didnt grab my attention in some way
shape or form. The best way to describe it’s content is solid but
nothing to be taken lightly this record jumps out at you. It’s like a
story from the first song to the last song. “No Hook” produced by
Teflon Da Don was ridiculous! Very sick track and productions on that
one. “Gettin It” produced by Maraqulous was the street anthem coming
from a hustlers perspective and based real events. The song is
dedicated to Classic’s long time friend Zacari Smoove who is currently
on the last four months of a five year sentence in a federal prison.
This song is deep as it takes you step by step through the rise and
down fall of that entire situation.
“Booty Everywhere” produced by Cherry Beats from the Netherlands. Is
that bouncy club track that will have the women moving on the dance
floor or even strip clubs. Thats just to name a few.
-Classic thoughts- “Getting It” and “When I Leave” were the songs I
used to open up a more personal side of myself to the listener. Which
is why I titled the album “Damaged Goodz” due to the up’s and down’s
Ive experienced & overcame in my life, but due to the experiences it
leaves you somewhat damaged. “Like The Breeze” featuring Young Vo of
Vo-Tron my partner on my staff. had to be a huge record for us as a
unit. Bringing Phoenix and LA together on that one. “Going Down” is my
Arizona anthem a must hear if you reppin AZ. My favorite is “No Hook”
because I got loose on that track, and Goldmine because my mother sung
the hook on that song much love to my mom for coming through for me.
Im very pleased with this project and feel it was worth the year in a
half that I used putting this together. Shout out Minds Under Craze
Recordings, DJ Ree-Run, all the producers on the project! Urban Media
Buzz! All of Phoenix AZ.”
Next up is “The Michigan Wolverine” hosted by DJ D Jones, featuring
Aphilliates artist Willie The Kid, Vo-Tron Artist Young Vo, O.R.G.
artist Tha Centop, Rock Show, Versatile, PKT, Mav of Sol Camp and
Juice of Black Wall Street. This project is Hip-Hop and truly a
Classic! be on the look out drops sometime in March of 2011.
